Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead cross-functional corrective action and/or continuous improvement teams for significant quality programs.
  • •Develop and initiate inspection, testing, and evaluation techniques for incoming goods; oversee evaluation and recommended changes.
  • •Analyze inspection/test results, oversee disposition of unaccepted items with suppliers, and create inspection plans by part number using key characteristics.
  • •Drive root-cause investigation and corrective actions for non-conformities and customer complaints; ensure documentation is prepared and distributed.
  • •Lead failure-mode avoidance and quality planning activities (PFMEA/DFMEA, APQP, Part Approval sign-off, control documents) and review supplier PPAP submissions and special characteristics.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience in quality assurance/quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • •1+ year of experience with quality engineering quality tools.
  • •1+ year of experience reading blueprints and understanding GD&T principles.
  • •Currently reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY; no relocation is offered.
  • •U.S. person required for export-controlled information; Eaton will not consider employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
