Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow SHE standards and applicable legislation related to vehicle control.
  • •Operate and control equipment and vehicles safely to transport materials in line with procedures, specifications, timeframes, and budget limits.
  • •Attend safety meetings and apply SLAM/HIRA/Mini HIRA, identifying hazards and safety deviations and reporting safety/health issues.
  • •Conduct thorough pre-shift and walk-around inspections; report deviations or defects to the supervisor.
  • •Maintain housekeeping standards, report maintenance requirements, and support equipment preparation for maintenance during breakdowns or shutdowns.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12/N3 Technical education.
  • •SA Drivers Licence.
  • •Relevant HME licences.
  • •1-2 years of relevant experience in hauling in a mining environment.
  • •Competence in radio communication procedures and the ability to perform shift inspections according to procedures.
