Job Summary

Lead Oura’s global tax organization through hyper-growth, public-readiness, and tax transformation. Own worldwide tax strategy, compliance, reporting, planning, and transfer pricing while optimizing the effective tax rate. Direct VAT/GST/sales tax and digital services tax strategy, partner cross-functionally on product and market launches, and manage external advisors and global audits. Own the US GAAP (ASC 740) provision process and ICFR/SOX 404 readiness for public markets.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead Oura’s global tax strategy (income, indirect, transfer pricing, and reporting), designing scalable structures for international expansion and effective tax rate optimization.
•Direct global indirect tax compliance for VAT, GST, sales tax, and digital services taxes.
•Establish and maintain transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements, and compliance documentation.
•Own the global tax provision process under US GAAP (ASC 740) and ensure ICFR/SOX 404 controls are designed, documented, and operating effectively post-IPO.
•Manage external advisors, lead tax audit requests, and serve as the primary interface with auditors and regulators worldwide.

Salary: USD 270,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

•20+ years of progressive tax leadership experience with multinational organization and at least 5 years in a high-growth technology environment; Big 4 experience preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MST, JD, or CPA strongly preferred.
•Deep expertise in U.S. federal, state, and international tax reporting, including ASC 740 and tax accounting under US GAAP.
•Proven success leading teams and managing complex cross-border issues, audits, and external advisor relationships.
•Hands-on IPO/public company experience and experience implementing or overseeing integrations of tax technologies.
