Job Summary

Install and maintain audiovisual collaboration systems on AVI-SPL customer and project sites, including cabling, terminations, rack fabrication/wiring, and equipment setup. Lead and direct installation crews on smaller projects, interpret system schematics and blueprints, test point-to-point functionality, and troubleshoot issues. Coordinate daily status with the Project Manager, manage site tools/equipment, and communicate on-site change requests and return material authorizations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks including cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment/component installation, and rack fabrication and wiring.
•Coordinate with the Project Manager to direct installation crews on less complex projects and help ensure time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
•Read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints.
•Use hand and power tools for AV installation tasks (including soldering and crimping connectors) and test point-to-point cabling/functionality.
•Communicate daily job site status, act as a customer liaison, coordinate with other trades, and manage tools/equipment and return material authorizations; travel to job sites as required.

Key Requirements

•2-4 years of audiovisual installation experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Intermediate proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and wiring methods like conduit runs and cable trays.
•Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with audiovisual equipment and systems.
•Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record meeting AVI-SPL driving privileges standards.
•Ability to read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints, and lead site teams on small projects.
