Key Responsibilities

  • •Handle litigated delegated and non-delegated motor instructions on behalf of insurer clients and the MIB, including cases valued £25,000–£100,000.
  • •Formulate initial and ongoing strategy, draft reports confirming strategy and approach with clients, and ensure compliance with SLA and critical dates.
  • •Draft legal documents and comply with court orders and deadlines, including cost budgeting and instructions for experts.
  • •Conduct research to stay current on legal and industry practice, and identify key facts/issues early to bring cases to conclusion.
  • •Coordinate with counsel, experts, third-party solicitors, insured parties, and insurers/brokers; attend conferences and court hearings and delegate tasks appropriately to paralegals.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 24 months experience handling litigated claims, including Part 7 claims.
  • •Minimum 12 months experience handling cases valued in excess of £25,000.
  • •Strong, practical experience managing Intermediate/Multi Track RTA litigated files, including an ability to manage a case load and report effectively.
  • •Sound drafting experience, including defences, applications, witness statements, Part 35 Questions, and Part 18 Questions.
  • •Strong IT skills (Word, Outlook, and case management system experience), with preference for working paperless.
