Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and develop arrangement, conceptual, FEED, studies, and detailed instrumentation design drawings with professional quality and presentation suitable for construction.
  • •Develop 3D models and ensure designs are clash-free with other disciplines through coordination and checks.
  • •Ensure design deliverables are completed and issued per project specifications, MDR, procedures, and within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • •When acting as Lead Designer: direct design teams, lead projects, forecast and plan resource requirements, manage discipline execution, and act as discipline point of contact in key meetings and communications.
  • •Raise changes and technical queries, perform single/inter-discipline checks, support audits and design reviews, maintain master design documentation, and travel to fabrication or construction sites to assist with completion, hookup, and/or commissioning as required.

Key Requirements

  • •High School graduate with a diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Design, or Drafting in a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • •10 years minimum with a major contractor or consultant, including 5+ years in predominately oil and gas.
  • •Detailed knowledge of industry detailing standards & codes and 2D/3D drafting and material control systems.
  • •Minimum 1–2 projects experience in E3D and/or S3D, with capability to lead projects.
  • •Knowledge of QA Systems; good communication; experience with project coordination and execution; including AutoCAD and/or Auto Lisp programming and 3D model creation/macro skills.
