Job Summary

Lead Andela’s External Relations function by owning global Public Relations (PR) and Analyst Relations (AR) strategy. Manage PR/AR agencies, build and coach an External Relations team member, and develop executive messaging, press materials, and crisis communications. Design and drive analyst engagement, influence analyst evaluations and peer review programs, and translate analyst intelligence into internal product and go-to-market planning while partnering with Marketing, Product, Sales, and People.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and execute global PR strategy, including executive thought leadership, product announcements, brand storytelling, and earned media tracking.
•Build and maintain relationships with key technology journalists and media outlets; oversee press releases, bylines, op-eds, media pitches, and external communications.
•Manage PR agencies and serve as a strategic communications advisor to the executive team, preparing messaging and briefing materials; oversee crisis communications planning and response.
•Design and lead analyst relations programs, including tiered analyst engagement, coordination for analyst vendor evaluations, and socializing analyst insights internally.
•Manage and grow a team member and day-to-day relationships with PR/AR agencies; partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Sales, and People and represent Andela at conferences and industry events.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•10+ years in corporate communications, public relations, and analyst relations, including 3–5 years at the senior manager level.
•Demonstrated success running both PR and AR programs, ideally in a B2B technology company or professional services environment.
•Proven experience managing and growing external agencies as well as direct reports.
•Deep existing relationships with relevant technology media and/or industry analyst communities.
•Experience managing or supporting major analyst reports such as Gartner Magic Quadrants or Forrester Waves.
