Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead multiple engineering teams across delivery areas (Commercial, Retailing (Nevio), Customer Experience, and Airline Operations & Infrastructure).
  • •Ensure delivery quality and engineering standards across squads, defining and tracking key engineering metrics including DORA metrics.
  • •Drive CI/CD practices, enhance test automation, and foster consistent code review and technical documentation/knowledge sharing.
  • •Serve as the main engineering representative for the SAFe Agile Release Train, supporting PI planning, demonstrations, and improvement sessions while enabling squads to hit PI objectives.
  • •Recruit, mentor, and retain engineering talent; collaborate on roadmaps/capacity, report progress/risks/metrics, and manage engineering budgets and long-term technology alignment.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles overseeing large distributed teams.
  • •Proven ability to lead and scale engineering teams or delivery centres in complex, multi-site environments.
  • •Strong knowledge of front-end (Angular/React), mobile (Kotlin/Swift), backend (NestJS/.NET), messaging systems, and cloud environments such as Azure.
  • •Experience defining and monitoring engineering delivery metrics (e.g., defect rates, deployment frequency, lead time, and DORA metrics) and improving CI/CD and test automation.
  • •Preferred: SAFe certification (Program Consultant, Release Train Engineer, or Solution Train Engineer) and experience in travel or airline digital platform delivery.
