Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the delivery vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment and arrange trailers for optimum loading patterns.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service items; report maintenance issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or the applicable chauffeur’s license for the state, based on vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations; pass a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Be able to maneuver truck/trailer for loading and unloading, including lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
  • •Maintain strong customer service and professionalism while staying focused in a busy environment.
