Job Summary

Senior-level fleet technician responsible for on-site mobile maintenance and repairs of commercial vehicles. Performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Works independently or with a team, maintains vehicle history, upfits equipment, and coordinates parts with vendors while ensuring high-quality service for Cox Fleet’s nationwide clients.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, filters, transmissions, and inspections to prevent defects and ensure reliability.
•Conduct light to major repairs and advanced diagnostics, interacting with customers and providing high-quality service.
•Maintain and repair equipment, perform wiring, hydraulic, and other mechanical work, and fabricate as needed while following safety standards.
•Keep vehicle history and maintenance records up to date and assist with vehicle up-fit projects when required.
•Collaborate with vendors for parts and ensure timely, cost-effective repairs while upholding company standards.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 32.31 - 48.46 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of related field experience (or equivalent combination of degree/certification and experience)
•Currently possess or be able to attain Master Level ASE certification (preferred)
•Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license and maintain a Driver Qualification File (DQF)
•Must have the ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lift up to 75 pounds) and work safely in a fast-paced environment
•Strong diagnostic and repair skills across diesel/heavy-duty systems, electrical, hydraulics, and DOT/CDL requirements
