Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on motor vehicles, including tune-ups, battery and tire service, filter changes, and brake and wiper repairs. Diagnose basic internal combustion engine issues, drain/flush/replace fluids, and assist with major overhauls by disassembling and maintaining components. Maintain tools and clean work areas, follow QC/CSP requirements, handle proper disposal of oils/filters/HazMat, and transport vehicles to/from repair facilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform engine tune-ups on internal combustion engines.
•Check and replace batteries; rotate, repair, and replace tires; wash/polish/clean vehicle interiors and exteriors.
•Clean and replace oil and air filters; inspect, repair, and adjust brakes; replace windshield wipers and similar minor parts.
•Drain, flush, and replace engine, transmission, and differential grease and oils; calibrate/replace spark plugs; assist with small engine repair.
•Assist with major overhauls, maintain tools and equipment, dispose of filters/oils/HazMat properly, and transport vehicles/equipment to/from repair facilities.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 29.82 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or its equivalent.
•1+ year of related experience in the automotive parts field.
•Knowledge of motor vehicle mechanic trade practices, methods, tools, and equipment.
•Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of motor vehicles.
•Valid Class C California driver license; California Class A preferred.
