Job Summary

Provide engineering technician support for FAA/interagency systems by troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment. Perform equipment performance analysis and engineering data collection/reporting, complete adjustment and certification activities, and support preventive and corrective maintenance. Conduct repairs on NAVAID antennas, rotary joints, circuit boards, and electronic cables/wire harnesses, including installation and maintenance of NAS Radomes and tower inspection work while traveling up to 70%.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation for designated electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
•Conduct NAVAID antenna and component repair, including rotary joint and drive motor troubleshooting and repair, and circuit board testing and repair.
•Produce and maintain equipment performance analyses and engineering data collection/reporting, including work on electronic cables and wire harnesses.
•Support preventive and corrective maintenance on FAA and interagency systems, including fault isolation and replacement of failed LRUs to restore full operational capability.
•Complete installation and maintenance tasks such as NAS Radomes, tower inspections and maintenance at heights, and enter daily time into DCRS.

Key Requirements

•Associate degree in electrical or engineering technology and completion of formal technical training courses required for level II.
•Successful completion of a physical fitness evaluation with weight restrictions of minimum 125 lbs and maximum 290 lbs.
•Practical experience in an engineering technician support position including troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical and mechanical systems and equipment, plus assisting with engineering documentation/process updates.
•Assist in producing, reviewing, revising, and interpreting technical documents, and in designing/fabricating/assembling/troubleshooting/repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, components, and prototypes.
•Ability to obtain NACI clearance / Public Trust and maintain a valid driver’s license.
