Job Summary

Build and ship end-to-end features for a multimodal Conversational Video Interface where your code runs in the middle of live conversations between people and PALs. Partner with Research to bring real-time models into production, translate loosely defined priorities into spec and architecture, and improve reliability and latency. You’ll work on shipped systems like guided browser control, interactive video-stream overlays, and real-time memories/knowledge retrieval.

Key Responsibilities

•Ship features end-to-end by turning loosely defined product priorities into specs, architecture, and production code.
•Partner with Research to integrate state-of-the-art real-time models into the Conversational Video Interface (CVI).
•Identify and fix flaky processes and slow paths without waiting for tickets.
•Develop and evolve CVI experiences such as guided browser control and interactive overlays on the video stream.
•Improve conversational performance, including utterance-to-utterance optimization to reduce latency.

Key Requirements

•Fluent in Python with real depth in concurrent programs, including asyncio, multiprocessing, event loops, the GIL, and shared memory.
•Experience building real-time systems for video, audio, or model inference with strong understanding of millisecond latency budgets.
•A senior track record: set direction, own decisions, and deliver to completion.
•Ability to explain complex topics clearly and teach others.
•Experience with shipping and iterating autonomously on loosely defined projects (implied by role expectations).
