Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and execute the Resilient Navigation technology roadmap for core navigation technologies and overall aircraft navigation system architecture views.
  • •Provide navigation domain expertise to develop and demonstrate novel capabilities from laboratory characterization through flight test campaigns.
  • •Partner with Avionics product lines on product line and business strategy, technology maturation, and difficult problem solving.
  • •Engage with international standardization and regulatory organizations to develop next-generation standards and operational concepts with quantifiable benefits.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum 12 years experience.
  • •U.S. Person requirement (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee as defined by the posting).
  • •Proven industry recognition in aircraft navigation technologies across concept definition, system demonstration, and fielded deployment.
  • •Established technical proficiency in navigation systems, including modeling and simulation, algorithm development and implementation, resilience and safety methodologies, and system-level architecture and design.
  • •Documented ability to evaluate technical approaches, develop innovative solutions, and communicate and collaborate across global, cross-functional teams within aviation safety/regulatory/certification frameworks.
