Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate the Content Library’s core Rust services for transactional storage, transform coordination, and low-latency retrieval at massive scale.
  • •Own features end-to-end, including observability, on-call responsibilities, and incident response for the systems you operate.
  • •Evolve the Python userland (transform framework, tooling, and developer experience) and support engineers via code reviews, guidance, and APIs.
  • •Lead cross-functional projects with ML, search, product, and data teams to define roadmaps, milestones, and technical designs balancing scalability, performance, cost, and delivery.
  • •Improve performance and cost-efficiency across the stack, including DataFusion query execution, Parquet layouts, S3 access patterns, caching strategies, and PostgreSQL/Aurora tuning.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend, distributed, or data-intensive systems.
  • •Production experience writing Rust with strong proficiency in Python.
