Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide legal guidance to executives and department heads on applicable laws, regulations, and industry practices for short-form digital programming, e-commerce, retail, and technology.
  • •Structure, draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial contracts for merchandise, digital content, promotional partnerships, and related areas.
  • •Assist with structuring and negotiating deals for below-/above-the-line talent, sponsorships, brands, licenses, production companies, and vendors.
  • •Advise on employment law matters and analyze deal structures for risk and potential ramifications.
  • •Prepare deal summaries for internal partners such as marketing, content, and finance, and partner with business leaders and HR to implement best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5+ years of legal/business affairs experience in a media company, production company, or law firm.
