Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver and develop teaching and assessment in anatomy (e.g., gross anatomy, histology, neuroanatomy, embryology, radiology) and design inclusive, academically challenging curriculum content.
  • •Advance teaching and learning practice through anatomical and/or pedagogical research, scholarship, and scholarly outputs.
  • •Advise others on learning, teaching, and assessment, and support student academic and pastoral support, including co-supervising doctoral students to completion.
  • •Contribute to management and administration, including teaching administration, resource assessment and organisation, and support for compliance activities related to anatomical examination.
  • •Develop knowledge transfer, enterprise, business engagement, public engagement/outreach, widening participation, and schools outreach to enhance student experience and employability.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 47,389 - 63,606 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Normally a higher degree relevant to the discipline area (usually PhD) or equivalent qualifications, including medical/dental degree and/or an anatomy-related degree.
  • •Substantial experience of medical imaging and radiological anatomy, with extensive teaching experience and scholarship in anatomy.
  • •Proven ability to devise, advise on, and manage learning; evidence of innovative teaching methods and successful learning and teaching approaches.
  • •Excellent knowledge of anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy, with good understanding of Human Tissue Act (HTA) regulations and codes of practice.
  • •Skills in managing, motivating, and mentoring others, plus membership of the Anatomical Society or British Association of Clinical Anatomists (or equivalent learned society).
