Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment (including road testing) to diagnose malfunctions and ensure vehicles are operating properly.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including reconciliation.
  • •Maintain compliance with organizational safety, health, environmental, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and complete accurate DOT forms/documentation on time.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3+ years of related experience (or equivalent training/certification or 5+ years related experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical requirements (or a DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File; safe driver required.
