Key Responsibilities

  • •Initiate contact with delinquent customers using manual dialing to offer workout alternatives and obtain payment commitments.
  • •Analyze customer situation and collateral risk to recommend and pursue loss mitigation options (e.g., forbearance, repayment plans, modifications, assumptions, pre-foreclosure/short sales, deed in lieu).
  • •Review, negotiate, and recommend actions on requests for foreclosure or repossession alternatives within management timeframes.
  • •Skip trace accounts to locate leads and record all collection efforts in the collection system.
  • •Escalate calls or problem accounts to supervisors, repossession, legal, or collection agencies as appropriate, and provide administrative support as directed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • •Minimum two years of collection, support, or related customer service experience; Loss Mitigation experience is preferable.
  • •Knowledge of basic mortgage default timelines and procedures (including bankruptcy, escrow, and foreclosure).
  • •Knowledge of bank-owned, investor, and insurer guidelines for mortgage and consumer companies, and ability to adhere to FDCPA/Privacy Act/state laws.
  • •Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel (minimum intermediate level).
