Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and support building electrical systems including power distribution, interior/exterior lighting, lighting controls, emergency/standby power, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage/special systems.
  • •Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and construction documents.
  • •Perform power system analyses such as electrical load calculations, voltage drop studies, short-circuit analyses, and coordination studies.
  • •Develop project designs and construction documentation using Revit, AutoCAD, and related engineering software.
  • •Coordinate with architects, structural/mechanical/plumbing engineers, clients, and stakeholders; support site investigations, construction observation, and review of shop drawings/RFIs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (alternates considered case by case).
  • •3 to 5 years of relevant experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
  • •Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • •Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), International Building Code (IBC), and other applicable codes and standards.
  • •Experience preparing electrical construction documents/specifications and using Revit and AutoCAD.
