Key Responsibilities

  • •Regularly inspect facility operations to ensure safe job practices, proper PPE use, and functioning machine/process guards
  • •Investigate accidents and near-miss occurrences, identify trends and causes, and ensure corrective measures are implemented
  • •Develop and coordinate safety programs, conduct new-hire training, and provide employee training on safe machinery and equipment operation
  • •Chair the Safety Committee and manage compliance activities such as fire inspection tours and hearing conservation program monitoring
  • •Maintain OSHA 300 log and required reports, ensure first aid and CPR personnel training levels, and maintain required safety/medical supplies inventory

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate
  • •0-2 years of experience in safety or woodworking operations
  • •Working proficiency with computer and business software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • •Preferred experience with First Aid and CPR
  • •Preferred working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
