Job Summary

Lead the FSPG (Financial Services & Professions Group) claims team in Hong Kong, managing the claims portfolio across traditional and emerging financial lines. Drive performance through coaching, mentoring, and team development, and provide claims reports and analysis to local and regional leadership. Manage key accounts and complex, contentious claims in Hong Kong and, when needed, across Asia—while identifying new claims-related business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the FSPG claims team in Hong Kong, managing claims arising from traditional and emerging financial lines products.
•Provide performance management, coaching, and mentoring to support the claims team.
•In collaboration with the broader FSPG team, identify and promote training and development opportunities for FSPG colleagues.
•Manage the FSPG claims portfolio in Hong Kong, taking responsibility for key accounts/claims and ensuring professional servicing throughout the claims lifecycle.
•Deliver strategic support for complex and/or contentious claims in Hong Kong and, as needed, across Asia; identify and develop new business opportunities; and contribute to broader claims and risk management initiatives.

Key Requirements

•Degree qualified (legal qualification preferred).
•At least 10 years of litigation/financial lines claims experience.
•Experience advocating on clients’ behalf with markets involving non-standard/high value/complex points of law.
•Understanding of the role of a broking company in claims, including interpreting policy wordings.
•Ability to maintain senior-level insurer and client relationships, with strong negotiation and written and oral presentation skills.
