Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead triage, investigation, and root-cause analysis of complex system-level issues across CPU silicon, platform hardware, firmware, drivers, and OS/hypervisor interactions in customer environments.
  • •Drive early platform bring-up activities for next-generation CPUs in internal labs and on-site at customer facilities to support rapid time-to-market.
  • •Serve as the primary technical liaison for strategic customers, guiding engineering teams through platform design, debug methodologies, and issue resolution.
  • •Partner with internal silicon, architecture, firmware (BIOS/UEFI/BMC), OS/kernel, and validation teams to implement systemic fixes and influence future CPU architectures based on customer feedback.
  • •Architect and develop advanced debug methodologies, scripts, and tools; manage critical customer escalations with clear executive updates and technical action plans.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep knowledge of modern CPU architectures (x86), including pipelines, cache coherency, memory controllers, and power management (C-states, P-states).
  • •Expertise debugging high-speed I/O and interconnects including PCIe (Gen 4/5/6), CXL, DDR4/DDR5, Ethernet, USB, and low-speed buses (I2C, SPI, I3C, eSPI).
  • •Strong understanding of the full system software stack, including BIOS/UEFI, BMC/IPMI, Linux/Windows kernel internals, device drivers, and hypervisors (KVM, VMware, Hyper-V).
  • •Experience with complex system bring-up and root-cause analysis using hardware tools (e.g., JTAG/ITP, oscilloscopes, logic/protocol analyzers) and software debuggers (GDB, WinDbg, crash dump analysis).
  • •Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, C, C++) for test automation and debug tool development.
