Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws while transporting loads safely and on schedule.
  • •Load and unload using specialized equipment as needed and follow loading crew signals to position truck and trailer correctly.
  • •Arrange trailers in shipping yards to support optimum loading patterns.
  • •Maintain and deliver required shipping paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) to the shipping office after delivery.
  • •Facilitate routine service checks (oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing and be able to pass a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, speaking professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and remain focused in a busy environment.
