Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and negotiate US commercial contracts for Aon entities in domestic and international contexts across Human Capital and Risk Capital businesses.
  • •Support business teams on client-related matters including tenders, cross-border contracting structures, and template rationalization.
  • •Provide legal advice on contractual matters such as privacy terms and complex client consulting and brokerage contracting.
  • •Coordinate with the Aon Law team and US-based support functions (Compliance, Data Privacy, etc.) to ensure legal risk is appropriately managed.
  • •Maintain team infrastructure by updating precedents and playbooks, conducting research, and arranging/delivering training.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of five years’ experience as in-house counsel at a multinational organisation or as an associate at a reputable law firm.
  • •Fluent English.
  • •Hands-on experience with UK or US commercial contracts, including drafting and negotiating in English.
  • •Ability to work independently and as part of a team, escalating concerns appropriately.
  • •Ability to balance commercial objectives and legal risks, including incorporating the responsible use of AI.
