Key Responsibilities

  • •Counsel customers on investment topics including retirement planning, tax planning, education planning, income management, risk management, suitability, and investment objectives.
  • •Adhere to Regulation Best Interest (Reg BI) and act as a fiduciary in advisory relationships.
  • •Acquire, expand, and maintain client relationships through business development, networking, and internal line-of-business partnerships.
  • •Purchase and sell securities and provide investment recommendations based on customer needs and changing objectives.
  • •Conduct investment research and portfolio allocation analysis; maintain and service customer accounts and liaise with operational units.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline (preferred).
  • •Minimum of five years of experience in the investment services industry.
  • •FINRA registrations including Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of Series 66) and State of Virginia life insurance and annuities licenses.
  • •AWMA or CFP designations preferred.
  • •In-depth knowledge of investment concepts and regulations, plus strong customer service, selling/negotiation, and analytical skills.
