Job Summary

Develop and execute process engineering projects at the North Kansas City plant, including planning to meet budget and schedule, coordinating construction/startup, and partnering with QC/QA, safety, health, and environmental teams. Troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes using historical performance data, engineering studies, and documentation updates. Support facility safety initiatives, evaluate new technologies, and deliver technical designs and justifications to help operations achieve cost, quality, capacity, reliability, and maintenance goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute engineering projects, including budget/schedule management, supervision of construction, training personnel, startup coordination, and safety/health/environment and maintenance coordination.
•Provide technical support to plant safety professionals to design/redesign work processes to eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses.
•Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify improvement opportunities, implement action plans, and follow up to ensure results.
•Provide engineering studies, designs, and justifications for approvals that support Operations’ goals.
•Analyze historical data to monitor efficiencies and parameters versus design, and evaluate and implement improvements to safety, reliability, capacity, operating costs, maintenance, and product quality.

Salary: USD 84,400 - 112,533.33 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 3–8 years manufacturing experience.
•Experience executing projects or process improvements and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
•Ability to implement capital projects/permits and perform engineering functions to meet design objectives.
•Strong communication skills to present technical information and prepare concise written reports.
•Project management training and/or certification; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
