Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform shift operations and maintenance, including startup and shutdown of utility systems and ancillary equipment.
  • •Operate according to SOPs and prudent safety standards, participate in site safety processes, and address safety hazards with corrective actions.
  • •Conduct rounds per shift to inspect equipment, ensure system functionality, collect/log performance data, and communicate problems in real time.
  • •Respond to abnormalities by taking corrective actions consistent with operating procedures and industry best practices; investigate incidents/unusual events and provide reports and follow-up plans.
  • •Perform routine and preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance, water chemistry testing and adjustments, chemical/gas/fuel/water consumption monitoring, electrical switching, and required tests/adjustments.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 44.16 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of power plant operations and maintenance experience.
  • •Knowledge of utility plant mechanical and electrical equipment (gas turbines/HRSGs, motors, pumps, cooling towers, chillers, fluid systems, chemical handling, water treatment, pollution control, AC/DC electrical distribution, control systems).
  • •Experience with natural gas fired combustion turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), electrical systems, chillers, compressed air, water softeners, and emissions control systems; knowledge of at least four (4) listed skills (e.g., pipefitting, welding, machining, rigging, rotating machine repair, fabrication, alignment, basic vibration analysis).
  • •Ability to learn site-specific systems/sub-systems and complete site-specific qualification training and periodic testing.
  • •Knowledge of power plant safety, including chemical handling, energy systems, confined spaces, fire suppression, and first aid.
