Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build scalable, reliable backend services and data pipelines supporting the end-to-end ML lifecycle in AWS SageMaker Unified Studio.
  • •Own features and platform capabilities end-to-end, from ideation to delivery, working with applied scientists, ML engineers, and product managers.
  • •Build and operate governed data infrastructure using a medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) including ingestion, transformation, anonymization, aggregation, quality checks, and lineage.
  • •Operate production platform services with 99.9% availability SLOs, participating in on-call rotations and operational review processes.
  • •Develop self-service tooling and automation to reduce manual toil and accelerate onboarding of new AI projects, and mentor engineers through code reviews and best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • •Strong backend development experience in Python; familiarity with Java, TypeScript, or Go is a plus.
  • •Experience building and operating data pipelines or distributed data systems (e.g., ETL/ELT, event-driven architectures, SQS/Kafka, S3 data lakes).
  • •Familiarity with AWS services, especially hands-on experience with SageMaker, DataZone, Lake Formation, Glue, or similar data/ML platform services.
  • •Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., AWS CDK) and professional engineering practices like unit testing and code reviews; bachelor’s degree in CS or related field (or equivalent experience).
