Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and implement multi-season field-testing programs at FMC’s California Technology & Research Center (CTRC) in Madera, CA.
  • •Design, manage, and execute field research trials for crop protection products to evaluate efficacy and safety.
  • •Plan trial layouts and oversee planting, treatment applications, agronomic practices, and harvest evaluations.
  • •Manage field data collection, entry, and analysis using specialized agricultural software; summarize and present findings to internal teams.
  • •Maintain field station facility operations (labs, offices, equipment) and represent FMC at industry events; perform physically demanding outdoor tasks as required.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 113,850.12 - 144,921.24 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Entomology, Plant Physiology, Plant Science, Weed Science, Agronomy, or a related agricultural/biological science field.
  • •2 years of experience in agricultural product research, discovery, development, or commercialization (including as a Graduate Research Assistant).
  • •2 years of experience with agronomic systems, pest and disease diagnostics, regulatory frameworks, advanced data analytics, and team leadership.
  • •Experience with farming operations including spraying and harvesting; calibrating and operating tillage, spraying, seeding, and harvesting equipment with PPE and WPS practices.
  • •Ability to design field research protocols, execute statistically sound trials with statistical analysis and agronomic interpretation, and analyze data using ARM, JMP Pro, SAS, R, and GEA-R; includes technical/scientific writing and oral communication plus EHS protocols and supervising staff; valid Driver’s License required.
