Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify, originate, and secure major infrastructure investment opportunities across MENA, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, building and maintaining a robust deal pipeline across multiple sectors.
  • •Develop and execute a regional business development strategy through direct engagement with governments, asset owners/operators, strategic partners, and project developers.
  • •Lead opportunity assessment and preparation, including investment memoranda for the Investment Committee and commercial feasibility review.
  • •Drive commercial negotiation and deal execution support across term sheets, framework agreements, and transaction arrangements, coordinating inputs from legal and internal/external specialists.
  • •Partner with sector verticals to design and implement stage-gate processes and bankability assessment frameworks, manage project documentation/controls, and mentor the business development team.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 15 years of professional experience in infrastructure investment, project development, or related fields, including at least 10 years in a senior business development, deal origination, or investment role focused on infrastructure/private equity/project finance.
  • •Proven track record originating and closing major infrastructure deals exceeding USD 100 million in transaction value across MENA/Africa/emerging markets.
  • •Demonstrated experience with PPPs, concessions, and complex multi-stakeholder negotiations in sectors such as energy, mining, ports, airports, water, agriculture and/or transportation.
  • •Ability to negotiate commercial terms and structure transactions (e.g., concession agreements, joint ventures, purchase agreements) with an understanding of governance frameworks and pricing mechanisms.
  • •Fluency in English is required; Arabic capability is a significant advantage.
