Support safe, efficient, and cost-effective quarry operations by partnering with the Quarry Superintendent to oversee daily production, lead crews, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. Drive production performance by monitoring progress against plan and addressing gaps. Provide people leadership through coaching and training, coordinate preventative maintenance to maximize uptime, and help control labor and materials while maintaining strong site collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote a zero-incident safety culture and ensure MSHA/OSHA/DOT compliance.
•Identify and correct hazards; lead safety meetings and follow up on incidents.
•Supervise union employees in accordance with CBA requirements and partner with HR on grievances and investigations.
•Support drilling, blasting, crushing, and load-out activities; monitor production vs. plan and implement corrective actions.
•Set expectations for crews, coach and develop employees, and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs to maximize uptime.

Key Requirements

•A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or similar is preferred but not required.
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory position.
•Knowledge of profit and loss statements and basic accounting principles.
•Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.
•Basic surveying and mapping skills are required.
