Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver professional pediatric care in outpatient and inpatient settings, including newborn care and difficult deliveries/cesarean deliveries.
  • •Evaluate patients daily in the pediatric outpatient clinic, perform examinations/procedures, and determine diagnoses and required nursing and dietary care.
  • •Order laboratory examinations and x-rays, prescribe treatment, and apply preventive measures as needed.
  • •Provide pediatric consultation to Surgery and OB/Gyn for in- and out-patients as assigned, including technical assistance.
  • •Maintain clinical governance and quality standards, manage clinical risks, ensure accurate medical records, and provide on-call emergency coverage while following OSH and infection-prevention requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country).
  • •At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
  • •Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Certification and registration in a specialty recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority, with active and valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
  • •Eligibility for relevant healthcare authority registration (e.g., Royal College/Arab Board Certification, MS/DM/MPhil or an equivalent recognized by the UAE healthcare authority).
