Job Summary

Founding technical leader for NVIDIA’s AI Safety & Security Engineering team, building AI-powered tooling to discover, validate, and patch software vulnerabilities in support of safety-critical AI systems. Own the harness architecture and establish engineering baselines that mature early prototypes into a dependable production pipeline. Drive the Find, Validate, and Patch technical roadmap, mentor founding engineers, and partner with security and evaluation teams to align on rigorous, reviewable standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Define the canonical harness architecture and component baseline.
•Set engineering standards for the AI safety and security harness and related work.
•Guide the Find, Validate, and Patch technical roadmap into a production pipeline.
•Mentor founding engineers and support their growth.
•Act as a bridge between exploratory research and rigorous software engineering, reviewing designs across the organization while maintaining safety and code quality.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 320,000 - 488,750 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 18+ years designing and building complex systems.
•Deep experience architecting distributed systems, ML pipelines, or large-scale platforms.
•Proven record turning research into production-grade engineering.
•Ability to align engineers and researchers on a single technical direction through collaboration.
•Vulnerability research or security engineering experience; familiarity with agent frameworks or LLM-based tooling, and evaluation/benchmarking infrastructure is a plus.
