Job Summary

Lead and mentor a team of flood modelling specialists to deliver hydraulic and water quality modelling for Flood Alleviation Schemes and Flood Risk Assessments across the UK. You will develop and check hydraulic models using Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, MIKE 11/21, HEC-RAS and ICM, develop water quality models, lead tenders, and build client relationships while staying up-to-date with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and check hydraulic models to assist the design of Flood Alleviation Schemes, deliver Flood Risk Assessments and conduct reservoir flood studies
•Develop water quality models using industry standard software (MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT and/or ICM)
•Conceptualise and scope modelling approaches with consideration of risks and opportunities
•Undertake and check hydrological assessments including Flood Estimation Handbook, ReFH2 and WINFAP
•Lead and input into tenders ranging from one-off projects to multimillion pound framework contracts

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline
•Evidence of significant experience in hydraulic and water quality modelling software (such as Mike, ICM, SIMCAT, Flood Modeller and/ or TUFLOW)
•Demonstrable knowledge of Environment Agency requirements in preparing flood models for flood risk assessments
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Obtained or near to obtaining professional qualification with CIWEM or similar
