Key Responsibilities

  • •Own hardware or deliverables for the larger space nuclear system, taking concept through CDR and onward.
  • •Drive requirements definition/decomposition and defend design decisions across design phases.
  • •Own CAD models and configurations; produce drawings and DFMEA artifacts.
  • •Support development testing, including test setup, test definition, and test documentation.
  • •Coordinate with nuclear, thermal, structures, manufacturing, and quality teams to refine configurations and plan integration/manufacturing.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or a related physics-based field).

  • •Past experience with PLM and manufacturing planning/management systems.
  • •Ability to conduct mechanical design with drawings/GD&T and support production readiness.
