Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct systems engineering for electric powertrain systems for aerospace electric propulsion.
  • •Develop electrical system and subsystem requirements aligned to platform objectives.
  • •Model electric powertrain systems at multiple levels of fidelity to inform designs and processes.
  • •Design electrical system protections (protection strategy, trip-curve/selectivity analysis, insulation coordination, failure analysis) and contribute to verification/validation planning.
  • •Analyze simulation and test data, present results, and coordinate with internal/external partners on engine trade studies and designs; support lifecycle activities including prototype testing and field issue triage.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics).
  • •5 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree and 3 years’ experience.
  • •Demonstrated experience defining and analyzing high power/high voltage electrical system requirements and performing functional integration.
  • •Knowledge and experience with high power electrical system protection design, including selecting protection devices.
  • •Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink, plus solid communications skills to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
