Job Summary

Support the Ethiopian National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (ENITAG/NITAG) by coordinating annual planning, working groups, meeting agendas/minutes, and evidence synthesis to enable evidence-based vaccine and immunization decisions. Serve as a liaison between NITAG members, working groups, and the Ministry of Health, engage with global NITAG networks, and help strengthen capacity for the immunization service and NITAG stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop the annual NITAG work plan aligned with national immunization priorities and coordinate with the Immunization Service Desk, NITAG chair, and stakeholders.
•Coordinate establishment, functioning, and reporting of NITAG working groups; develop meeting agendas and facilitate ordinary and extraordinary NITAG meetings with logistical arrangements.
•Collect, analyze, synthesize, and disseminate local, regional, and global evidence to inform NITAG discussions; prepare background documents, evidence summaries, and ministerial briefing notes.
•Facilitate effective communication between the NITAG chair and the Ministry of Health; serve as a liaison among NITAG members, working groups, and the MoH while respecting NITAG independence.
•Coordinate capacity-building training locally and internationally for NITAG members and immunization staff; engage with global NITAG networks and support evidence generation through the immunization academy and research institute.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 3,270.08 monthly

Key Requirements

•First-level university degree in a health-related field.
•At least 2 years of experience working in vaccine and immunization.
•Experience working at the Ministry of Health and involvement in vaccine planning and resource mobilization; familiar with the Ethiopian health system.
•Proven experience formulating policy questions and facilitating NITAG activities.
•Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Amharic.
