Key Responsibilities

•Conduct supplier selection for a specific product using an approved supplier list.
•Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development, including concept scoping, trade tables, should-cost/clean sheet models, joint design via statements of work, and mechanical/electronics simulation.
•Drive make-vs-buy analysis and develop/consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production with flexibility.
•Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
•Lead cost engineering activities, complete BOM risk assessments (including alternate sourcing), ensure component qualifications ahead of production, and reduce complexity through commonality and supplier rationalization.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 89,000 - 131,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field.
•2+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
•Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
•Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
•Ability to relocate to be onsite in Morrisville, NC if not already local.
