Job Summary

Lead the Singapore ML engineering team for TikTok BRIC Live Integrity, focused on protecting community health by combating fake accounts and inauthentic engagement. Set technical direction, build and maintain real-time risk detection and enforcement systems, and develop ML models for large-scale threat mitigation. Partner with Product, Data Science, and Operations to drive the technical roadmap, communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and mentor engineers to continuously improve delivery and impact.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the technical direction and strategy for team efforts to protect community health and user safety.
•Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models to detect and mitigate risks like fake accounts and inauthentic engagement.
•Architect and build robust, scalable systems for real-time risk detection and enforcement.
•Manage day-to-day operations of the ML engineering team and drive a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
•Partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Operations to define the technical roadmap and deliver key initiatives.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience leading, mentoring, and growing a Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) team.
•Strong foundation in machine learning with experience in deep learning, NLP, graph-based learning, or large-scale classification systems.
•Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
•Experience in the Trust & Safety, content moderation, anti-spam, or risk control domain (preferred).
•Hands-on experience building detection systems for fake accounts, coordinated networks (e.g., graph neural networks), or harmful content at scale (preferred).
