Job Summary

Install, splice, and test fiber optic and copper networks for projects, maintenance, and emergency repairs. Troubleshoot and resolve faults to ensure service continuity, and install/configure residential and small business telecommunication services including POTS, HSI, VDSL, FTTH, GPON, and bonded DSL. Read and interpret service orders and technical drawings, coordinate line testing, document results, and interact with customers to assess needs and recommend solutions while following safety and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, splice, and test fiber optic and copper cables for projects, maintenance, and emergency repairs.
•Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair existing fiber and copper networks by locating and resolving faults to ensure service continuity.
•Install, configure, and enable telecommunication services such as POTS, HSI, VDSL, FTTH, and networking.
•Connect and manage wiring/cabling, terminals, and hardware attachments on customer premises, poles, and inside facilities.
•Read and interpret service orders and technical drawings, coordinate line testing, document results, and update service orders and billing information.

Salary: USD 16.3 - 43.09 hourly

Key Requirements

•Must work varying shifts and hours, including possible mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
•Requires a valid state driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
•May require compliance with Department of Transportation Drive Qualification Regulations, including drug and alcohol testing.
•May require a CDL.
•May need to climb and work at elevations exceeding 18 feet and work in confined spaces; may lift/move objects over 75 pounds.
