Job Summary

Own power design and validation for AMD data center GPU products, partnering with ODM/OEM/customers to deliver high-efficiency DC-DC solutions for server motherboard and rack systems. Lead design reviews, schematic/PCB and component evaluations, PDN simulation and power integrity analysis, and lab validation/debugging using test equipment. Collaborate cross-functionally across architecture, hardware, thermal, SI/PI, and layout, documenting specifications and driving system-level performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with ODM/OEM/customers on design review, simulation, verification, and optimization of high-efficiency DC-DC power solutions for CPU/GPU platforms.
•Review customer schematics, PCB layouts, and component selections to meet power delivery requirements (voltage ripple, transient response, efficiency).
•Collaborate cross-functionally to provide motherboard reference board and server rack power shelf requirements on time.
•Conduct PDN simulation and analysis to ensure power integrity.
•Validate and debug power solutions in the lab and document test reports, design specs, and best practices.

Key Requirements

•BS or above in Electrical/Electronic/Power Engineering (or related field).
•5+ years of hands-on experience in power hardware design for high-speed computing platforms (CPUs, GPUs, ASICs).
•Proficiency in DC-DC converter topologies (buck, boost, multiphase), PWM controllers, MOSFETs, and power stages.
•Experience with simulation tools such as Simplis, SPICE, PowerDC, and/or Ansys SIWave.
•Strong knowledge of PCB layout considerations for power circuits and PDN/PI analysis capability.
