Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide MFLC non-medical, short-term, solution-focused walk-around counseling and consultation to eligible service members and families within the assigned military unit.
  • •Conduct assessment, brief counseling, consultation, action planning, and referrals while maintaining client/service member confidentiality.
  • •Deliver training and health/wellness presentations and respond to critical incidents, surge, and special requests as directed.
  • •Cultivate working relationships with commanders and installation/branch points of contact, ensuring the program meets brigade/regiment needs.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily via smartphone or web application and participate in supervision, in-services/training, and quality improvement activities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in a mental health related field (including Behavioral Health or Social Work).
  • •Valid, unrestricted independent counseling license that authorizes you to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner.
  • •Minimum five years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • •Intermediate technology competencies (e.g., Microsoft Suite, smartphone/tablet navigation, and video-conferencing platform navigation).
  • •Ability to engage and communicate with military members and children and respond quickly to emergent situations across installation and school settings.
