Job Summary

Plan, execute, and lead siting and routing studies for energy projects such as transmission, substations, and renewables, supporting clients through defensible reports and utility application components. Collect background data, develop siting/routing maps, conduct windshield surveys, participate in public open houses, and document findings. Serve as a liaison with governmental agencies, clients, and internal teams, while advising on state filing requirements across Ohio and nearby states.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, execute, and lead siting and routing studies for transmission, substation, and renewables projects across Ohio and surrounding states.
•Gather background data, prepare siting/routing maps, and participate in meetings to document findings for clients and/or agencies.
•Conduct windshield surveys and participate in public open house meetings.
•Liaise with governmental agencies, clients, and team members throughout the siting process.
•Support siting reports and state filing guidance, including writing components for public utility applications.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience.
•Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Geology.
•Experience leading routing/siting studies and preparing associated reports.
•Familiarity with PJM, MISO, and other regional transmission board processes.
•Excellent technical writing skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams while managing project teams and client interactions.
