  • •Provide leadership on business development and capture efforts from win strategy development through post-submission phases.
  • •Brief business development and capture status to senior management at specified capture milestones.
  • •Direct plans and activities to increase revenue, growth, and profit aligned to long-term strategy and objectives.
  • •Develop and implement capture plans and win strategies, including competitive assessments, teaming, price-to-win, and “Why Akima” proposal storytelling.

Key Requirements

  • •Four-year degree from an accredited university.
  • •Clear understanding of, and experience winning, IT solutions including Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise IT, Cloud Migration, Cybersecurity, Software Development, Data Server Consolidation, and IT Modernization.
  • •Track record of success winning $50M to $100M+ single-award business development and captures, with at least 1 win in the previous 2–3 years (one at $50M+).
  • •Deep knowledge of the Federal procurement process, current acquisition trends, and customer buying behaviors.
  • •Strong presentation and proposal writing skills; ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and support multiple captures based on anticipated RFP release dates.
