Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the key day-to-day client interface and ensure project objectives are met through value-added cost management services.
  • •Produce cost plans and estimates, including presenting final cost plans, developing updates at design milestones, and coordinating VE sessions with stakeholders.
  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders across the construction lifecycle; reconcile changes and support contractor data accuracy.
  • •Manage cost checks, valuations, post-contract cost variances, change control processes, and contingency/cost impact and commitment tracking logs.
  • •Prepare funding data presentations and monthly cost reports; support final accounts negotiation and maintain built cost records for benchmarking.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 5–7 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is preferred.
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium or large-scale construction projects with moderate to high complexity.
  • •Experience supporting life sciences, laboratory, research, healthcare, or other technically complex construction projects is preferred.
