Job Summary

Lead delivery of cross-border cross-currency (CBCC) payments technology initiatives, partnering with business, operations, technology, product, risk, compliance, and regulators. Own planning and execution across local, regional, and global teams for programs with budgets from USD $100k to $3mil, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and regulatory expectations. Drive modernization of payment platforms and clearing systems and engage regulators, market infrastructures, vendors, and external partners to align market expectations.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage key payments initiatives, including high-value, cross-border cross-currency payments, and domestic payment systems (channels, processing, clearing, and infrastructure).
•Drive delivery across business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and finance functions.
•Partner with senior regional and global stakeholders to align strategic priorities and execution plans.
•Coordinate across local, regional, and global teams to manage dependencies, timelines, and delivery outcomes.
•Support modernization and transformation of payment platforms, clearing systems, digital channels, and scheme upgrades; ensure delivery meets scope, timeline, budget, and regulatory expectations.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record as a technology leader in the payments domain with deep understanding of risk and controls.
•Significant experience delivering payments technology initiatives and leading complex cross-functional delivery across multiple countries and cultures (including budgets USD 2m+).
•Strong knowledge of cross-border payments, ISO 20022, SWIFT, and payment engine design/operating principles, with familiarity with Agile, Kafka, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AI.
•Ability to assess technology risks, develop mitigation strategies, and build knowledge of operational risk management and the regulatory landscape in payments.
•Capability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing global teams and drive consistent outcomes across Asia markets.
