Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage key payments initiatives, including high-value payments, cross-border cross-currency payments, and domestic payment systems and infrastructure.
  • •Drive delivery across business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and finance to execute strategic priorities.
  • •Coordinate across local, regional, and global teams to manage dependencies, timelines, and delivery outcomes.
  • •Support modernization and transformation efforts for payment platforms, clearing systems, digital channels, and scheme upgrades.
  • •Engage regulators, market infrastructures, vendors, and external partners to ensure delivery alignment with market expectations and regulatory expectations.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven technology leadership in the payments domain with deep understanding of risk and controls.
  • •Significant experience delivering payments technology programmes, including initiatives with budgets of USD 2m+ and cross-functional delivery across multiple countries.
  • •Strong knowledge of cross-border payments, ISO 20022, SWIFT, and payment engine design/operating principles, with familiarity with Agile, Kafka, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AI.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess technology risks and develop mitigation strategies across operational risk and the regulatory landscape.
  • •Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing global teams and manage programme governance, budgeting, forecasting, and controls.
