Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the outsourced payroll provider as the primary point of contact and ensure payroll deadlines are met.
  • •Review and validate payroll inputs (e.g., hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses/commissions, leave, superannuation adjustments, workers’ compensation).
  • •Perform reconciliations and variance analysis on payroll reports to ensure accurate payroll calculations and reporting before approval.
  • •Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and regulations, including STP reporting, superannuation, payroll tax, and statutory filings/returns.
  • •Coordinate payroll tax calculations, reconciliations, and annual returns; support month-end/year-end and EOFY processes for the Pacific region.

Key Requirements

  • •5 - 10 years of Australian payroll experience.
  • •Flexible to support payroll activities across other countries within the APAC region.
  • •Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including Fair Work Act requirements and Modern Awards.
  • •Strong analytical and reconciliation skills to validate payroll calculations, deductions, and statutory contributions.
