Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned parts, solving emergent supplier challenges and mitigating manufacturing and quality risk to the program manifest.
•Review issues to determine root cause, implement changes at suppliers and/or SpaceX, drive actions to closure, and re-source to new suppliers when needed.
•Drive technical product improvements and engineering drawing updates to reduce defects and improve manufacturability, lead times, and cost.
•Own new product introduction for parts and assemblies, including selecting manufacturing methods, identifying suppliers, and ramping to rate for new or changing parts.
•Lead the production part approval process (PPAP) and run containment activities to support stable supply and resolution of defects.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
•1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products in a production environment (including school projects, clubs, or internships).
•Hands-on experience with machining and ancillary operations such as milling, turning, drilling, and cutting materials.
•Experience interpreting engineering drawings, models, and applying GD&T principles.
•Disciplined problem-solving (e.g., 8D) and ability to communicate status and needed actions across the organization.
