Job Summary

Solicit residential first-mortgage loans by building relationships with Realtors, builders, and developers. Interview applicants, analyze financial information to determine creditworthiness, and take borrower applications. Use daily rates, credit reports, and DU responses to support underwriting, then collect documentation and deliver complete loan packages to the processor. Maintain strong customer service expectations, support the assigned branch’s home loan product awareness, and complete required BSA/AML and compliance training.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with the assigned branch office to stay aware of home loan products.
•Handle and follow up on referrals from the branch office.
•Develop and maintain referral contacts (realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts).
•Interview applicants, analyze financial data for creditworthiness, and take borrower applications.
•Collect documentation, use communication and access to daily rates/credit reports/DU responses, transmit to processor, and attend required lending meetings.

Key Requirements

•Equivalent of a four-year college degree plus 4 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Ability to analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness.
•Ability to read, analyze, and understand business/company articles and professional journals, and speak effectively before groups.
•Ability to calculate figures and amounts (e.g., interest, commissions, percentages) and apply fractions/ratios to practical situations.
•Maintain knowledge of loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines; collect applicant documentation and deliver timely loan packages to the processor.
